What's new in Brainwrite: October 2026
Sixteen releases in October: automations that start on app events, saved logins, Team Cloud, pages and widgets, the Data tab, learning bots, more engines.

Brainwrite shipped sixteen releases in October, from 2.0.10 to 2.0.25. This post covers the changes you will notice most. Every fix is in the full changelog.
Your bots have a home of their own
Your Brainwrite Cloud is now the place your bots live. Once your Cloud is ready, the app moves your bots, chats, logins, secrets and automations to it, once, by itself. Then it opens My Cloud as its home. Your computer still works for your Cloud while Brainwrite is open on it, with a Pause in the menu bar.
With more than one place, each one shows as a circle down the left edge of the window. You can buy up to 3 Clouds per account, each with its own plan.
Automations that start themselves
Schedules, webhooks and app events now live on one Automations page, as a list or a week calendar. The new kinds:
- When something happens in an app. Pick a connected app and an event, such as a new Gmail email, add a filter, and say what the bot should do.
- Tell me when… Ask a bot to tell you when a build finishes or a page changes. No AI runs while it waits.
- When your AI limit resets. A turn stopped by a usage limit can carry on by itself.
We wrote a guide to the first one: start an AI agent when an email arrives.
Sign-ins without sharing passwords
When a bot needs a website, it asks with a Sign in needed card, never in chat. Save the login once, or connect a 1Password vault, and Brainwrite types it into the site's own login page, 2FA code included. Every secret now lives in one store, with what each may be used for. The details are in Saved logins and secrets and our guide to agent sign-ins.
Brainwrite for teams
Team Cloud comes with the Team ($169 a month, up to 5 people) and Business ($599 a month for 20 people) plans. Every bot reports to someone, and each person can have their own Chief of Staff. A team inbox gathers what needs you. Private chats stay private, admins included.
Answers you can see and use
- Pages. A page a bot makes shows as a card with its versions. Use Point to change one part and Share to publish it at a brainwrite.page link.
- Chat widgets. Bots can show forms, pick-one lists, tables, charts and time pickers. Your choice becomes your next message.
- The Data tab. Bots load files into tables, run SQL and build charts you can filter, export and query yourself.
- Today and Usage. Today shows what your bots finished and what needs you. Usage traces every run.
Bots that get better
A bot can now learn skills by itself after a long task. This is experimental and off by default. It can also repeat a computer task it did before with no AI: no tokens, done in seconds. And with Remember the last run on, each routine run starts with the last run's report.
Meet Brainwrite, your helper
Everyone now gets a built-in bot called Brainwrite. Ask it how to do anything in the app. It sets things up with you, tells you what your bots are doing and sends a short daily brief. You can also hold a shortcut in any app, speak, and Brainwrite answers in a small box at the bottom of the screen.
More engines
Bots can now run on GitHub Copilot, DeepSeek, Cline, Groq and Meta's Muse models, alongside Claude, Codex, Gemini, Grok, Cursor, Kimi, Qwen and local models. Your own provider bills your usage, as before.
Bots now start at Full access by default, so they send through your connected apps without asking first. To review sends, choose Ask for approval for a bot or a thread. See Approvals.
Also new
- Brainwrite speaks 15 languages, now including Polish, Russian and Italian.
- Report a bug from any chat by typing @devs and a few words.
- Settings are reorganised into five pages, and Brainwrite can open when you sign in to your computer.
- Brainwrite's services moved to brainwrite.app.
