Hand a bot a spreadsheet and get back answers you can check

The Data tab in Brainwrite's Computer panel is where a bot works with data. It loads files, links or databases into tables, runs SQL on them, and builds tables and charts. You can page through the results, filter them, export them and run your own queries, so every number a bot gives you can be checked.

October's top customers in a minute

Load invoices.csv and show me who paid the most in October, as a table and a chart.

How it works

How Data tab works.

  1. 01

    Give the bot the data

Attach a CSV or spreadsheet, share a link, or point the bot at a database. It loads the data into tables.

  2. 02

    Ask your question

"Which customers paid the most in October?" The bot writes and runs the SQL, and shows the query it used.

  3. 03

    Check the work

Open the Data tab in the bot's Computer panel to page through the table, filter it, or change the query and run it yourself.

  4. 04

    Keep the result

Build a table or chart from the answer and export it, or ask the bot to put it in a report or a page.

Good to know

The details.

Files, links and databases

A bot can load the files you attach, data from a link, or a database into tables it can query.

SQL you can read

Every answer comes from a query you can see, change and run again, so you are never asked to take a number on trust.

Tables and charts

Page through results, filter them and export them, and turn a result into a chart.

Works on Brainwrite Cloud

The Data tab works on My Cloud as well as on your own computer, so data work can run while your computer is off.

The edges, plainly

  • The bot works on the data you give it access to; it can't reach a database it has no connection to.
  • Very large files take longer to load. Ask the bot to filter or sample first.

FAQ

Questions about Data tab

Can an AI agent analyse a CSV or spreadsheet with SQL?

Yes. Give a Brainwrite bot the file and ask your question. It loads the data into tables, runs SQL, and shows the result as a table or chart in the Data tab of its Computer panel. You can read the query, change it and run it yourself.

How do I check the numbers an AI agent gives me?

Open the Data tab. It shows the tables the bot loaded and the queries it ran, so you can page through the rows behind an answer, filter them, export them or run your own query. Nothing has to be taken on trust.

Does the Data tab work on Brainwrite Cloud?

Yes. The Data tab works on My Cloud as well as on your own computer, so a bot can do data work on a schedule even while your computer is off.
