Bots that get better at your work the more they do it
Learning in Brainwrite means bots build on what they have already done. A bot can write or improve its own skills after a long task, repeat a computer task it did before with no AI at all, start each routine run with the last run's report, and pick up facts from the group chats it is in. Everything it learns stays visible and editable.

Why it matters
On your own, with a chatbot, and with Brainwrite.
| Topic | Doing it yourself | A single chatbot | Brainwrite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Doing it again | Every click, every time | Starts from zero each chat | Repeats saved steps with no AI, in seconds |
| Know-how | In your head or a doc | Lost when the chat ends | Skills the bot writes and improves, which you can edit |
| Recurring work | Remember what you found last week | No memory of last week | Each run starts with the last run's report |
How it works
How Learning works.
- 01
Do the work once
Ask a bot for a task as usual. It uses its skills, memory and tools to get it done.
- 02
It saves what worked
Computer steps on your Mac are saved for next time. With Learn skills automatically on, a long task can become a new or better skill.
- 03
Next time is faster
Send the same request again and saved steps run straight away with no AI: no tokens, done in seconds. A learned skill shows in the bot's / menu.
- 04
You stay in charge
Forget saved steps from the reply, and see, edit or delete skills and memory in the bot's panel.
Good to know
The details.
Saved steps
Shows Saved these steps · next time no AI, then Repeated saved steps · no AI. If a step doesn't work, the request goes to the AI with a note of what was done.
Learn skills automatically
Experimental and off by default. After enough tool steps, a bot reviews the conversation in the background and may create or improve a skill, with reference files if it needs them.
Remember the last run
Turn it on for a repeating routine and each run starts with the previous run's report, up to 2,000 characters, so QA passes and follow-ups build on last time.
Learn from group chats
Off by default, in a bot's Memory settings. Bots also notice facts from the group chats they are in.
Write a command yourself
Use Write a command in a bot's Skills settings, then run it from the / menu. The menu also lists skills a bot's engine loads from its own folders.
The edges, plainly
- Saved steps repeat only on a Mac, for a bot at Full access with This computer as its place, and not for clicks on a spot of the screen, drags, the built-in browser or typing.
- Saved steps not used for 60 days are dropped. Turn the feature off in Settings → General → Repeat computer tasks without AI.
- Learning skills automatically is experimental.
FAQ
Questions about Learning
Can AI agents learn from what they did before?
In Brainwrite, yes, in ways you can see. Bots can write or improve their own skills after a long task, repeat saved computer steps with no AI, start each routine run with the last run's report, and keep plain-text memory you can read and edit. Learning skills automatically is off by default.
What are saved steps in Brainwrite?
When a bot does a task on your Mac, such as opening an app and setting a field, Brainwrite can save the steps. The next time you send the same words, the steps run again with no AI: no tokens, and done in seconds. Forget on the reply deletes them.
Can I see and change what a bot has learned?
Yes. Skills are listed in the bot's Skills tab and its memory in the Memory tab, both editable and deletable. Saved steps can be forgotten from the reply that saved or repeated them, and the whole feature can be turned off in Settings → General.
